CASTING CALL - PAID OPPORTUNITY IN BRISBANE QUEER FEATURE FILM

MUST BE LOCATED IN BRISBANE OR NEAR SURROUNDS (Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast)

We’re looking for a few different roles for our upcoming queer horror feature film ‘Closing Night’ filming in Brisbane in mid February. The film is being made by a team of passionate queer filmmakers including myself and we are hoping to casting gay/queer/bi/fluid male identifying people for the following roles. Link to my website to register your interest at end of post. All roles are PAID at Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) Award rates.

1. Male - Late 30s to late 40s (gay/queer/bi identifying) - open to all backgrounds

  • Looking for a fit in shape guy with rugged good looks for a role that is Photo Shoot only. Playing the boyfriend of one of our characters (whom he looks at photos of on his phone screen in the film) - photos will be with actor playing your boyfriend and include topless photo by a pool, dressed up photo, and various ‘couple selfies’. 1 day of shoot - no acting experience required.

2. Male - 25 to 35 (gay/queer/bi identifying) - caucasian

  • Looking for very fit, muscular/toned guy to play ‘model’ type character in the film. This role does require you to be in underwear with your shirt off for filming. 1 day of filming - no acting experience required.

3. Male - Late 70s - 80s/90s (gay/queer/bi identifying) - caucasian

  • This role is the older version of our lead character - our lead character is a slim build so more slim build people preferred here. Non speaking role, but you will be required to have your shirt off. 1 day of filming - acting experience ideal, but not required. We also encourage people with a disability or lessened mobility to apply. This is an open casting call for body non-normative and body normative males.
